THIS YEAR IS AN AUSPICIOUS YEAR FOR THE HINDI FILM INDUSTRY WHERE YESTERYEAR PLAYBACK SINGER SHAMSHED BEGUM WHO IS NOW 91 YEAR OLD GOT "PADMA BHUSHAN" AWARD FROM THE PRESIDENT OF INDIA MRS. PRATIBHA PATIL AT RASTRAPATI BHAWAN IN DELHI ON TUESDAY. HERE IS THE PHOTO WITH THE ARTICLE ON THE NEWSPAPER " DECCAN HERALD" FROM BANGALORE EDITION ON 31st MARCH 2009. I WILL SHARE THIS WITH U ALL.

I have in my possession two photographs of hers related to Padma awards as well:-
1. Hindu Delhi Edition, 1st April 2009 - receiving award from another angle
2. The Asian Age, Delhi Edition, 1st April 2009 - at Rashtrapati Bhawan (Also seen in the photo are Aishwarya Rai, Akshay Kumar, Kumar Sanu and Peenaz Masani)

I don't have a scanner however. I'll try to upload the photos whenever I can get hold of a scanner.
Request photos from other newspapers also to be uploaded.
