The first movie for which he gave music was VACHAN. This movie is remembered for famous lory..CHANDAMAMA DOOR KE...sung by Ashaji. In this movie there is a song which is sung by Raviji himself alongwith Ashaji.
I think there cannot be a more appropriate way to start a thread with a song from his very first movie and which is also sung by him. Music Director Ravi composed music for many movies in which Sunil Dutt saab was hero. He gave music in Sunil Dutt saab's produced movie...man ka meet.
The hero of the movie was Dutt saab's brother Som Dutt. This was also Vinod Khanna's debut movie. Ashaji sang a great muzra in this movie........of the similar quality that Raviji composed for Chaudhvin ka chand. Here is that muzra JA JA TERE JAISEY TO AATEY REHTE HAIN AATEY REHTEY HAIN JAATEY REHTEY HAIN When you find peace within yourself, you become the kind of person who can live at peace with others

Mahesh ji great thread.
Ravi ji to me is among the top music dirctors. If we go by the quallity of songs, he has given some great compositions. but ye ripped from 78 rpm waala funda nehi samaj aya!! you must have recorded this songs from 78 rpm.............else only DVD and CDs can be ripped to mp3 or other format!! kirpya thoda confusion dooor kare bache ki !!! ripping ka matlab smajhaye !!! forgive me if I miss replying or reading ur post............bit busy :-( !
