I heard this song many years ago (like 25), and found it extremely captivating.

Raatra aahe pournimechi, too jaraa yeoon jaa
jaaniva thaklya jeevachya, ekda aikoon ja...

The tune in the opening part is exactly like 'chandra aahe saakshila' song. The singer is Suman Kalyanpur.

Anyone knows of this song?

Hits ji, chhota moonh badi baat. Maaf kijiye. Found a Lyrics Book of Suman Kalyanpur which had this song. Doesn't mention the MD, though.

Suman also has sung this song, Mandrake (Hamaracd also says so). I think there is a Krishna Kalle version as well. The music is by Yashwant Dev.
