Tansen i surly an all time musical with great songs by Saigal and Khursheed. The credit also goes to the excellent composer khemchand Prakash, whose last film was Mahal(1949) in which he composed the immortal "Ayegaa Aanewala."

The song in question is surly sung by Kanan Devi, the poular singer-actress of 1930s, 40s and 50s. Also, Kanan Devi was at times credited as Kanan Bala, which may have been the case as she started as a child artist. So, Kanan Devi and Kanan Bala are the same person.
