Hi Everyone
I have a Laptop computer HP Pavilion dv6000 with Windows Vista Premium installed. It is about two years old. I use Internet Explorer to navigate Internet websites. For the last few months after some minutes the computer screen just freezes up. Then I have to reopen Internet Explorer screen another time till that one also freezes up. After a few tries I have to restart the computer. Are there any solutions short of reinstalling everything all over ( Rabooting?). Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. If I have to reinstall everything I would like to know the procedure. By the way HP warranty expired after a year. Harjinder

Try using Mozilla Firefox instead. Your IE maybe having an issue perhaps due to a virus.
You can get it at: www.firefox.com

Hi
I have tried using Mozilla Firefox but I prefer Internet Explorer because of many features that I have ,over the years, become accustomed to. Thanks for your input. Harjinder

Harjinder, its a very comman problem with Vista, there is no permanent solution by MS. Do not open 2 screens at one time, let the first finish loading.

I will strongly recommend Fire fox or Google Chrome. frankly Gecko-based browsers are better than MS. i however have to use IE since we are MS shop.
