Don't you think "Unhe Qissem-e-Ghum" has the same tune as "Agar Mil Gayi Moojh Ko Rahe Madina Unhey qissa e ghum sunaney say pehlay 128 kbps .shair o shairi 2.20 mts film??????? agar mil gaee mujh ko rahey madeena...128 kbps...3.24 mts Im4afi Ji, Agreed that these two are almost identical in tune both in Mukhda and Antaras. But, if I am right, this particular type of tune is a common one used for Shayri, Mushiras, etc. But, yes, this pair qualifies. Venkat I have changed many views in life since my childhood, but not my view of Rafi Saab as the God-sent Gandharva who visited this Earth briefly to spread ultimate ecstasy among genuine music-lovers!

hello venkat, iam attaching these two songs which in my opinion are very identical in both mukda and antaras.if you examine the line phir wohi dil laya hoon of the first song and then examine the line suno ji ye calcutta hai ,you will find both songs are identical.Even the music is identical. Here O P Nayyar has repeated the tune of the song of phir wohi dil laya hoon from earlier film howrah bridge.both Rafi gems. please let me know what you think. attached:banda parwar thaam lo jigar by rafi film phir wohi dil laya hoon[1963] music op nayyar bitrate128kbps duration 3.36mins attached:eent ki dukki paan ka eeka by rafi film howrah bridge[1958] music op nayyar bitrate128kbps duration 4.04mins Inteqam Bhai, Sincere thanks for participating and uploading two beautiful OPN songs. Of course, as these are well-known ones, I knew both of them earlier. But, I have specially played and heard them again. But, Inteqam Bhai, in my humble view, the tunes of these two songs are not almost identical, either in Mukhda or Antaras. Well, I do agree with you that they are very similar in the feel, mood and flavor. Regards, Venkat P.S. Yes, I have just noticed that you have uploaded both the songs of the SDB's identical pair (the Kaise Kahoon-1964 one and the Dr.Vidya-1962 one), as early as June 13, 2007 itself in your Rafi thread. Good work, Inteqam Bhai. u r welcome venkat ji |

But, do tell me, is there an earlier studio-recorded version of this Naat? Or is this Live Version the only one available? If there is an earlier studio-recorded version, which came first--Deedar's or this Naat? Many thanks. But, what we are looking for are not just distinct similarities in flavor or feel, nor even idenicality only in Mukhda. To qualify, both the songs should be almost identical in tune both on Mukhda and the Antaras. The six pairs we have now do meet these criteria. Do tell us if you have a pair that strictly complies with these criteria. I know your 2 and 3 pairs do not qualify. But, in your first pair, I know the Film song well, but not the Non-filmi song. If you feel these two are almost identical in tune in Mukhda and also Antara, please u/l both the songs. Thanks. [/quote] SN Ji, After hearing this non-filmi Pagal Chanda song and Chitralekha(1964)'s Rafi-Asha duet (Chha Gaye Badal Neel Gagan), I agree that there is very great similarity of tune both in Mukhda and Antaras, though not as much as in some of the earlier six almost identical pairs. But, I think we can place this pair in our list. Ramesh Ji, thanks for the upload. And, sure enough, the dig had hit where it hurts! Just joking. But, seriously, I might have heard this non-filmi song earlier, but do not remember. Friends, Any more pairs of Rafi songs that are almost identical in tune, both in Mukhda and the Antaras? Venkat Venkat Ji, Here are 2 more 100% identical songs(very popular) :- [1] Madan Mohan Sahab & Rafi Yahi Hai Tamanna R.D.Burman Sahab & Kishore Sagar Kinaare [2] The second case is a History in itself. (Earlier I have penned it in Lata-Forum). S.D.Burman Sahab had assisted C.Ramchander Sahab. When Burman Dada started composing independently, he created one melodous tune & exited over it so much that he approached to CR Sahab & humbly asked about his suggestion on the tune. CR Sahab heartily appreciated it & only addition from his side was the starting of tune. After a decade, Roshan Ji approached Burman Dada & requested to grant him permission to use THAT tune & Burman Dada happily agreed. And The Immortal Songs based on THAT immortal tune are - Thandi Hawaaayen, Rahen-Na-Rahen Hum, USR PS: The starting as suggested by CR Sahab was- 'Aaha Aa Aa, La La La La Laa,Hmmm mmm,Kaise Bulaayen'.
