Kidar Sharma wrote those immortal songs in the movie DevDas(1935).
Incidently the singer Raaj Kumari played the role of Chandra (chandramukhi)
in that movie. Kidar Sharma was fascinated by her voice and in majority
of his movies, we find, the leading lady singer was Raaj Kumari.

Kidar Sharma also has the distinction of introducing many stars in the
movies. The song which is uploaded now is from his movie Suhaag
Raat(1948)
. This is the debut movie for Geeta Bali as well as for
Snehal Bhatkar, the music director. Kidar Sharma, being Punjabi, has beautifully
used punjabi folk music, basically based on raag pahadi, in his movies including
this song. It is an old traditional folk tune, which was in vogue during that period in the
villages of Punjab.

The song is sung by RAAJKUMARI AND GEETA ROY(DUTT) in their
soft and sweet voices.

It is picturised on GEETA BALI AND BEGUM PARA

The words are:

KIS PAAPI SANG ULJHI ANKHIYAAN
HAI ANKHIYAAN
RO RO NAIN GAWAAYEN

Urzung Saab gaana upload kar ne ki liye bahut bahut dhanyavaad.

Baat yeh hai ke jab main ek aur purani movie ka vhs dekh raha tha to mujhey ek aisa gana dikha jiski dhun kuchh aisi hai jo ki Naushad Saahib ne Mohd. Rafi Saab ko ek amar bhajan ko gaane ke liye di...mujhe lagta hai ki logon ko asli purana gaana bhi dikha diya jaaye. Naushad saahib ka composition is gaane ke theek 17 years ke baad aaya aur bahut hit ho gaya. Right now I am not disclosing the movie's name, year of release and the music director's name (It is a sort of quiz)...I do not know the names of the actors, on whom this song was picturised, as well as the lyricist and the singer......some one to please identify these people. For clue....this photograph is from the same movie......now it should be quite easier to identify the movie otherwise it is very very difficult......the movie of course is a block buster of its time and still well known.

Maheshji, can you upload this song, please? unsure.gif

woman is the mirror in which man sees the reflection of his own self, his own dormant and hidden powers of genius when she comes and stands before him
A woman is a meaning to life ! Someone who loves, who cares !
