QUOTE(allli @ Aug 8 2005, 04:39 AM) I think that version 2 is closer to the correct speed. If you have Cool Edit (freeware), you should be able to speed up the slower version and compare. A musician with a good ear(which I am not) should be able to tell the correct speed from the key. Saigal sang in perfect tune. Jay |

Agree with both Jaykoshal and Azgar Khan. 2nd one seems the right one.

QUOTE(allli @ Aug 10 2005, 02:52 AM) Without downloading, I can speculate that version 2 is better. If you notice that the ratio of the file sizes is about the same for the two songs. Either someone had the record player (78 rpm) running too slow in one of the versions, or, more likely, recorded at 33 rpm and used the wrong factor to cnvert. Jay |

I downloaded and heard both the versions. In this case, the second version (643.71 K) seems to be a bit fast and I am inclined to think that the first version is with correct speed. However in this case, before the actual song starts, there is a concluding sigh "Aisa Kyon, Aisa Kyon, Phir Aisa Kyon" of the Dushman song "Preet Mein Hai Jeevan Jonko". Due to this a bit of space and time is taken compared to the original song.
