(Hema) Dil Aashna Hai (1992)
Hema produced and directed this film for which she also wrote the story and screenplay. It starred future star Shah Rukh Khan who was introduced this very same year in "Deewana". Divya Bharati, who showed so much promise in the few films she appeared in and who died at a very young age under mysterious circumstances, was the star of both of these films. Hema didn't act in the film but it had many stars in it. Even though the film didn't work, it was not a bad film and its music also wasn't bad. I am uploading songs from this film from an original sound track album in two back-to-back posts. Here is the first set of songs... Attached image(s)

These songs were ripped from a DVD. I am unsure about the singer and lyric assignments. For singer assignments I took a guess. My dear Sangeetji, I know you can help with this. If you can, please do so. Also, the request goes to other members as well. Incidentally, this was Chand Usmani's last picture. She passed away before the film was released. The first one is Mahendra Kapoor- Chandrani Mukharjee Duet. Also the film was released in 1992 not 1989

(Rekha) Biwi Ho To Aisi (1988)
This movie apparently was based on a Pakistani hit film of the same title (even though movie titles do not give any credit). Unfortunately it hasn't much to write home about. But one redeeming feature of the film was its music. LP did it again with several good songs in it. Incidentally this was the film in which the future star Salman Khan was introduced in. This film apparently was never released in theaters. It was made under the title "Prem Dharam" or something like it. When it was not released, the name was used for another film. However, this Mahesh Bhatt-directed feature is available on DVD. I am uploading songs and some music clips from the film in two back-to-back posts ripped from a DVD. As usually is the case with a Bhatt film, there are some nice songs in this film as well. Here are the songs in the first post... Attached image(s)

(Rekha) Ek Naya Rishta (1988)
The combination of Rekha and Khayyam Saab that gave us unforgettable and hauntingly melodious songs bonanza of "Umrao Jaan (1981)" are back together once more for this album. The results are not as spectacular as their first venture but with Khayyam Saab at the helm one is seldom disappointed with the final product. That is definitely the case here.
