Eulogizing Anil Biswas' music is, to me, like holding a candle to the light ... 'Maan' was a mesmerising score, and 5 gems are posted here. "Dam bhar ka tha daur khushi ka" was, in fact, a comeback vehicle for Mukesh, after he had been not getting any singing offers for quite some time. Ergo, though the trademark depth and timbre of his voice are intact, one finds Mukesh struggling through the notes of the song ...

(2.56/128)

(2.48/128)

(3.16/128)

(3.03/50)

(3.08/50)

Inviting all to contribute these other numbers from the film:

(1) Phaili hai khabar aaj yeh phoolon ki zabaani - Lata
(2) Dilbar dildaara diledaar ho - Meena Kapoor
(3) Mere pyar se tujhe kya mila - Lata
(4) Kya bataayen chheen kar tere deedar pe - Kalyani & Mubarak Begum

"Allah bhi hai" was originally recorded for "Mughal-e-Aazam", when the film was launched with Sapru, Nargis & Chandemohan and the music was being conducted by Anil Biswas.

Zindagi Hai Ke Badalta Mausam, Har Nai Rut Mein Naye Phool Khile
Bewafai Naheen Aadat Apni, Jab Talak Jis Se Mile Dil Se Mile.........

Thanks, Sangeetbhaktji!

woman is the mirror in which man sees the reflection of his own self, his own dormant and hidden powers of genius when she comes and stands before him
A woman is a meaning to life ! Someone who loves, who cares !

Thank you. Its a very nice song. I just heard it and I keep getting the feeling that I heard the same tune (plagiarized) in a later song.

I know Habib Wali Mohd. was a Anil Biswas fan and his famous Aashiyan Jal Gaya is a copy of AB and Kishore Kumar's Fareb song "Aa Mohabbat Ki Basti".

Kind Regards
Faraaj
