Gyan Dutt was a composer who was, in the '30s and '40s, a might to contend with ['Bhakta Surdas', 'Sunehre Din', 'Sant Tulsidas', et al], but, sadly, faded away with the advent of the next decade. The quality of his work speaks volumes for itself. Here are three Gyan Dutt creations, for Lal Dupatta (1948), vocalized by Surinder Kaur, Geeta Roy and Shamshad/Rafi:
