Thanks - sunny boy ! Didn't have all of them.

I love the Lata numbers - tumhare sang (typical example of Naushad-Lata combo), panghat pe nazariya and milti hai bheekh maula

Mahendra Kapoor got his chance with Naushad [ this was one of his (MK's) first songs ] - as a result of an 'indian idol' type contest of those days, where the winner got a song from each judge !

FWIW,

I downloaded these

thinking that they would be better quality then 16kbps.
unfortunately they sound the same as the lower bitrate.
Looking at them via sound editor show essentially the same song.
with virtually no difference.

The Lata solos I download have quite good quality.

Isn't there better version out there.

Hey R&D:
Thanks for letting me know - so then these songs U mention must be blown-up from 16kbps. I hate when ppl do that. For this album, I mixed songs I got from various sources.

I believe I can get U the Rafi solos in pristine quality .... gimme some time. As for Chand Chhupa song -- I don't have any better quality sad1.gif

Ok .. check these files out below. I just didn't wanna download them earlier (and by that I mean buy) cause I wouldn't be hearing them as often.

3:45min @ 160 Kbps avg VBR

3:46min @ 160 Kbps avg VBR

I'll remove the bad-quality ones from the original post.

What about the first song -- Milti Hai Bheek (Lata) ... could U compare that to your 16Kbps file and lemme know the result. Thanks.

Would really appreciate if someone could re-upload song #7 in good quality.

Philam: Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan (1959)
MuZiK: Vasant Desai
LyricS: Bharat Vyas

All files are 192 Kbps CBR (constant bit rate), VCD rip, Some have skips, otherwise quality is really good.
========================

1) Intro music - 1:16 min

2) Hari Om ---- not sure of the singer, someone please identify - 1:40 min

3) Lata - Chhup Chhup Ke - uploaded below:
https://www.hamaraforums.com/index.php?s=&a...st&p=443968

4) Lata - Na Na Barso Badal - uploaded below:
https://www.hamaraforums.com/index.php?s=&a...st&p=429742

5) Rafi - Manokamna Puran Huyi Hain - 1:34 min

6) Mahendra - Majhi Re Himmat Na Haar - 2:56 min

7) Instrumental - Marriage music (with dialogues) - 2:39 min (I liked this music so decided to rip it biggrin.gif)

8) Lata & Manna - Dil Ko Dahlanewali Ye Dilli Ki Kahani - 3:43 min

9) Manna - Janani Janma Bhumi Swarg Se Mahaan - 3:34 min -- this song has skips

10) Rafi - Din Paltyo Palti Ghadi - 0:46 min

Are there longer versions of any of the songs above ??? The Rafi songs are not listed anywhere (unless they are MahendraK songs I am mistaking for Rafi's!!)

Earthmusic.net says there is another Rafi song "Dhanyawad Kavichand Pukare Jug Jug Jiyo" - could not find it in VCD - I thought Song #5 above is this one, but these words are not there.
And another song also listed (ultraindia.com) is "Thandi Hawa Aane Lagi Jawani Balkhane Lagi" -- not there in the VCD either (or maybe I could not find it), not sure who sang it either. Can someone help ???

Film: Aakhri Daku (1978)
Music: Kalyanji Anandji
Lyrics: Anjaan , Indeevar

File Quality: Unknown Source @ 128 Kbps CBR (Songs are courtesy of Mr.Dhall)
==========================
1) Lata - Yaar Mera Paise Ka Diwana - 3:10 min

2) Lata - Maiyya Mere Bhaiyya Na Aayi Ri - 3:05 min

Comments - Ultraindia.com says this song begins with the words "Dware saji baarat to angana rone lagi shahanai re...." - maybe in the movie-version. If someone has this version, please do upload. unsure.gif

3) Kishore (with Asha) - Koi Na Koi To Sabhi Mein Kami Hain - 3:06 min

4) Asha - Kahin Na Jiya Laage To Meri Gali Aaiyyo - 3:10 min

Comments - Once again, as per Ultraindia, the beginning lines to this Asha song are: "Aa...ghadiya gin gin din beeten..." - please upload if anyone has this (probably filmy) version of the song. unsure.gif

Thanks.
