Anjaam yehi tha hona Dil kho kar jaan bhi khona Qismat se koi kya bole dil chupke chupke Movie: Rahnuma Singer: Mohammed Rafi Music: Dhumi Khan Lyrics: Habib Sarhadi Bitrate: 160 Duration: 3.08 Steven Ji, This particular one is indeed a very nice and a very rare one. But, some of us already had a taste of this very nice song in Sajdah Ji's thread. But, on a cursory glance of all your uploads so far in the last 16 pages, I can guess that at least 60% of those must be real top-class ones in addition to being absolute rarities. But, as I said in my earlier post, I need to catch up gradually with the help of good samaritans like Sajdah Ji. Venkat The very first song that interested me most is "Abhi To Dil Hai Jawan" from Pyara Dushaman(1956) of Nisar Bazmi. I d/led, listened to it and cannot thank you enough for that! Rafi Saab enters in the second Antara, "Pyar Ka Chakka". And what an entry it is! Just see how uniquely he enunciates the words "Anjaan Hoon Main"! I have changed many views in life since my childhood, but not my view of Rafi Saab as the God-sent Gandharva who visited this Earth briefly to spread ultimate ecstasy among genuine music-lovers!

This is Asha Bhosle...it is a case of wrong tags by HMV. Listen to these clips. This is a clip from the original 78 rpm record of ek thi ladki. This is a clip from the first ever solo sung by Asha for hindi movies just six months prior to recordings of songs of ek thi ladki. A clip from the original 78 rpm record. During the same time songs of the movie bazar were recorded. In the 78 rpm record and lp record of the bazar, the song " jara sun lo hum apne pyar ka afsana kehte hain" has been mentioned to have been sung by rajkumari and lata. However, this is not correct. while this is lata : but this is asha That means the song is a trio sung by rajkumari, lata and asha. There are some instances, though not many, of such wrong informations on the records. Thanks a lot Mahesh ji. It's nice to be vindicated. Sajdah Wisdom borne out of experience says that a good pair of ears serves much better to a music collector than what may be etched on a million discs or song-books. Sajdah I hate to repeat myself. Sajdah Ji, I appreciate the way you take a well-considered and properly-informed stand on an issue and defend it tooth and nail, like in this particular case. I appreciate Balaji also for initially belling the cat! Venkat I have changed many views in life since my childhood, but not my view of Rafi Saab as the God-sent Gandharva who visited this Earth briefly to spread ultimate ecstasy among genuine music-lovers!

Matlab ki hai yeh duniya, kya apne kya paraye Koi na saath aaye koi na saath jaaye Do din ki zindagi hai, karle jo dil mein aaye "Jaayega jab yahaan se kuchh bhi na saath hoga" Movie: Moti Mahal Singer: Mohammad Rafi & Madhubala Zaveri Music: Hansraj Behl Lyrics: Prem Dhawan Bitrate: 160 Duration: 3.14 SM Ji, Many sincere thanks for this very nice and familiar duet from Moti Mahal. Venkat I have changed many views in life since my childhood, but not my view of Rafi Saab as the God-sent Gandharva who visited this Earth briefly to spread ultimate ecstasy among genuine music-lovers!

Bali Lyrics: ? Bitrate: 160 Duration: 3.16 Also, many sincere thanks for this solo from Mastani(1955). Earlier, I had the occasion to d/l an excellent duet (Rafi-Asha) from this same Film, "Dilruba Sun Tujh Pe Mera Dil Nisar Hai" u/led by Sajdah Ji. There is another Rafi-Asha duet from this same Film, "Dekho Jhoomti Jhoomti Barsaat", uploaded by Kamala Ji in his thread. Venkat I have changed many views in life since my childhood, but not my view of Rafi Saab as the God-sent Gandharva who visited this Earth briefly to spread ultimate ecstasy among genuine music-lovers!

SM ji,
I see that there are three more Rafi-Asha duets in Film:Pyara Dushman(1956), other than the "Abhi To Dil Hai Jawan" u/led by you. Going by the general track record of Nisar Bazmi and also considering that the duet you u/led is simply great, I tend to assume that the other three also must be very nice ones! Do you have them by any chance? I will list them if you want. Thanks, Venkat I have changed many views in life since my childhood, but not my view of Rafi Saab as the God-sent Gandharva who visited this Earth briefly to spread ultimate ecstasy among genuine music-lovers!
