Since wonderful HMV/EMI/SaReGaMa/RPG didn't label the films after the song names, I need to know what song belongs to which film, I can't find a good online punjabi soundtrack database, and hamaracd didnt have the info in their database.

Sorry to add more confusion to the lot, I just noticed it says Teri Gut Da is from Channi on here, but many times there are mistakes on these kind of cassetes as well. I really wish the record companies had published info for the Punjabi Films like they do with the Hindi ones. Someday I will find a good store with old punjabi films on cassette..............

I am back, for selfish reasons, and to make a list on the web of these tracks in one place so they can be referenced by others who will be wondering the same thing. I bought an 8 pack CD set called Millennium The Finest Collection Punjabi Songs - they are a mix of folk and film soundtracks. Saregama has not only sadly failed to mention which songs are from movies, they have also made errors in information. I will be updating this post as I figure out what the information is, posting the track list for one cd per day. I know there is a wealth of information already at HF regarding these songs as many have previously been shared by our fabulous contributors. So bear with me for a week or so while I painstakingly search the web and try to find info on my own first, then asking for the experts help, thanks very much. Just a minor correction.The spelling of 'Ik omkar Satnam' should be 'Ik Oankaar Satnam'.Omkar is really oankaar in Sikh scriptures . Harjinder
