Film: Pyaar ki pyaas (1961)
Song 2: Pyaas bujhaane sab ke man ki
Singers: Asha Bhonsle, Lata Mangeshkar, Mahendra Kapoor, chorus

Interestingly a couple of verses of the previous song are included
in this song as well. However, Talat is not mentioned as one of the
singers.

Film: Pyaar ki pyaas (1961)
Song 4: Kiska desh
Singers: Lata Mangeshkar, Geeta Dutt, Manna Dey, Ranu

This is a looooooooooooong song clocking in at over 10 minutes.
It is one of these national integration songs with music from
various parts of the country woven in. Don't know who does the
South Indian dance part for this.

Is the Ranu mentioned here Hemant Kumar's daughter, Ranu Mukherji?

Film: PYaar ki pyaas (1961)
Song 5: Chanda Dhale pankha jhale
Singer: Lata Mangeshkar

This is the Lata version of the lori. The Geeta Dutt version was recently
uploaded in the Geeta Dutt forum. Lovely song, both versions of the song.
The Geeta version is not on the CD unfortunately.

SB jii,

Reviving the thread with a request for songs from ChoTe baabu - madan mohan

possible??

TIA

Possible, but not fully unfortunately. I collected the songs for this film
from HF itself over the last year or so. I looked for this film on cassette
when I was in India recently, but no luck. So here are the songs that
I have. There are 2 songs that I don't have.

Film: ChhoTe baabu (1957)
*ring: Nimmi, Shekhar, Abhi Bhattacharya
Music: Madan Mohan
Lyrics: Indivar, P L Santoshi, Chandrashekhar Pande, Kaif Irani

I have never seen this film, so cannot provide any information about the
film itself or the picturization of the songs.
I was introduced to the music in this film through the excellent duet "Teri
chamakti aaNkhoN ke aage" by Lata and Talat. The rest of the songs IMO
don't quite compare to this duet which was the most popular song in the
film. I have 5 out of 7 songs in this film.

The songs that I do not have are:
1. Lata Mangeshkar, Manna Dey - Tum mere maalik antaryaami
2. Asha Bhonsle, Shamshad Begum - Do chaar ghaDiyaN baiTke
So if anybody has these, please do upload.

Track 2: Teri chamakti aaNkhoN ke aage
Singer: Lata Mangeshkar, Talat Mangeshkar
Lyrics: Indivar

This is a low bps recording of the song but it sounds okay. However, if there
is a cleaner, higher sampling recording, please do upload it.

Film: ChhoTe baabu (1957)
Track 4: Le le dard paraaya
Singer: Hemant Kumar
Lyrics: Chandrashekhar Pande

I had never heard of this lyricist till this song. This film has 4 lyricists
across 7 songs. Wonder how producers/directors decide on who to
use as a lyricist and how they determine who will write what.
