Well.... Shivani gawah hain main 2 hrs se is gaane ke peechhay lagi hoon! Sab versions sune, tried to edit, then asked her to go ahead make the request. Phir sunte sunte lyrics reminded me of the situation and TL hui ke yeh movie tau abhi TV pe dekhi (stuck in my porous mind because of the brilliant - Aurat ne janam diya mardon ko). You gotta ask Vinz for his pair. Poor man diligently digitizes all these songs for me/ HF cry.gif (I really really should look after him better, am sooooo guilt ridden now cry.gif !!) Talk about unsung heroes!!

Anyways... enough emoting/ torturing... so here it is, as good as it gets. Hope it lives upto the hype (in terms of quality).

T-ji, did you get your wonderfully devoted husband to record other songs
in this film??? If so, could you upload them perhaps in the Ek hi film ke
geet thread in SKS?
I would love to hear the film versions of "Aurat ne janam diya mardoN ko"
and "tora manva kyooN ghabraaye". So why not the other songs as well.

Thanx T-ji. Looking forward to it. It is very frustrating when EMI releases
these films on CD and does not put the entire version of the songs.
After all, some of these films are quite readily available. So they should
be able to extract the audio quite easily.

Yes Priye... I think for sure a couple if not 3!!! She(Vyjanthimala) is a tawaif and when Lataji isnt singing Aurat ne janam, I am sure Ashaji is singing the rest, the way the equations were those days!

Really??? I would be pleasantly surprised. The film has 3 Lata solos (Aurat
ne janam diya, Kahoji tum kya kya, Aise vaise Thikaane pe jaana bura hai),
this Asha/Rafi duet, a Geeta solo that I mentioned earlier and a Rafi/Balbir
duet (Aaj kyooN hum se parda).
Lagta hai is baar Lata ji ko tawaif keliye gaana paDa, kyooN ki woh khoobsurat
Vyjayanthimala thhi na.
If it had been some 2nd heroine or a vamp, zaroor Asha gaati.
