Mere Jeevan Saathi (1972)
Rajesh teams up with Tanuja after the success of his other "Saathi" movie ("Haathi Mera Saathi"). This one is actually R.D. Burman and Kishore Kumar show. There are some beautiful numbers in this album. Beacause of their number, I am uploading them in three separate back-to-back posts. First two posts are all songs from this album. In the second post, I am not certain about the singers names for the title song. The third post consists of several songs by Amit Kumar singing his Dad's hit songs from this movie. I am also including a song by Abhijit from his private album, that is from this movie. Also in this album, I am including a song from Lata's "Shraddhanjali" where she sings Kishore's song, again from this album. Here is a description and the songs from this first posting ... Concluding Songs Of "Mere Jeevan Saathi (1972)" ...
In the wake of the huge success Kishoreda enjoyed after his resurgence as a singer, many other singers tried to emulate him. Amit Kumar, Kishore's own son, Abhijit, and Kumar Sanu come to mind. In this third and final posting I am including Amit's versions of Kishore's all solos from this movie. Abhijeet pays tribute to Kishioreda in his album "A Tribute To Kishore Kumar". "Diwane Leke Aaya" is one of the songs he sings from this movie that is in the album. Finally, Lataji came out with CDs paying tribute to some of her deceased colleagues. These were entitled "Shraddhanjali". I am including a song she sang from this movie, "O Mere Dil Ke Chain" that also includes her commentary paying a tribute to Kishore da. Here are the songs ...
