This Rafi-Lata duet from Film:Nadir Shah(1968) is indeed a great one. In fact, though it is said to be from a 1968 Film, it rightly deserves the status of a late 50's/early 60's song! Even the voices of Rafi Saab and Lata Ji in that song belong to that earlier period.

Now, I have checked even with the ultimate wizards of this HF, Mirsa Ji and Maheshks Ji, and they too expressed their non-possession of this very nice duet.

I am indeed surprised that this song, which I hear on Vividhbharati at least once a year, is quite rare and indeed scarce here in HF!

One more request to anyone who has this, please.

A superb composition in the raag Miyan Ki Malhar and a favourite of Vividh Bharati. The best part of the song is the taan with which Lata picks up the mukhda after the completion of the antara. I too have been looking for this song since ages.

Balaji garu, many thanks for the nice description of this Mohammed Shah Rangeele song. Indeed, it is based on Raag Miyan Malhar. That is why its first line always reminds me of the "Bole Re Papi Hara" song from Guddi!
