This problem of license with wma has been plaguing us perennially. Perhaps Admins must step in and ban wma in this forum in order to obviate the problem. Among the membership guidelines mention must be made that anyone wishing to u/l a wma file must first convert it to an mp3 file before u/l it. Restrictions have already been placed on the size and bitrate of mp3 files which will come in force beginning Nov 21, though I do not understand what poilcy they have regarding files that are not constant bitrates but are the much better quality VBR. I hope they exempt VBR files from any restrictions and allow them to be uploaded without any fuss. It is high time that some restrictions be placed on wma files too. Will Pradeep or the Admins please respond to this post with their views or decision in this regard? Thanks.
