(Amitabh) Jalwa (1987)
This film was based on the English hit film "Beverly Hills Cop" made in 1984 that made Eddie Murphy a star to reckon with. Naseeruddin Shah, in an unusually different role for him, reprised Murphy's role in this film as a wisecracking and fist fighting police officer. Amitabh made a guest appearance. There are two sets of music directors for this film; Anand & Milind and Remo Fernandes. It is a different sounding album especially with Remo's songs setting the trend for the movie. I am uploading these songs in two back-to-back posts. It appears like that I may be missing the song "Duhaai Duhaai" shown in red italics in the table below. This was not in the DVD. If indeed this is from this film, please kindly share it with rest of us if you can. Thanks. Here are the songs in the first post... Concluding Songs from "Jalwa (1987)"...
Here are the songs in the second post. All these songs were composed, written, and performed by Remo Fernandes. One of the song, "Dekho Dekho", is unusually long. I am uploading this in two parts. To get the full song, it is imperative that you download both parts of the song. Also, the song "You Gotta Pack" is completely in English. Here are these different sounding but fine songs by Remo Fernandes... Attached image(s) |

(Jeetendra) Sharda (1981)
Rameshwari (see the picture attached below), a Telugu speaking person, was born in Andhra Pradesh but entered into movies in Hindi. Her debut film “Dulhan Wohi Jo Piya Man Bhaye” in 1977 was a huge hit. She acted in some Telugu films. Her 1980 Hindi film “Aasha” with Jeetendra was a huge hit. This film, “Sharda”, came on the heels of it. In spite of the fine talent she possesses, being a very private person in her real life, Rameshwari did not become as popular as expected. Soon after the successes she enjoyed in Hindi and Telugu she married her classmate. To raise family she decided to take a sabbatical from films. She returned recently to movies accepting mature roles as her children started growing up. She appeared in several television series in Hindi and still active in one or two series. She produced a Hindi film “Hum Farishte Nahin” in 1988 and a Punjabi film in 2007, “Mein Tuun Assis Tussin”. She appeared in a recent Hindi film, “F.A.L.T.U”. Here are the songs from this film… This post has been edited by swarapriya: Dec 14 2011, 09:30 AM Attached image(s) |

(Amitabh) Ek Hi Maqsad (1988)
With his pull way down one of the smart things Amitabh did was to appear in the public eye as much as possible. One of the ways he was able to accomplish this was by appearing as a guest in a number of films. This was one of them. I am not sure whether he was a guest in this film. Some reports said part of his movie clips from "Kaalia (1981)" were shown in the film. Pankaj Udhas, the ghazal singer, composed music for this picture. Not surprisingly, he used some of the ghazals he sang earlier in ghazal albums. I am able to get only three songs from this film. These were all from You Tube. If there are more, please kindly share them with rest of us. In the second post, the three ghazals Pankaj sang for his other albums are posted. These came from various CDs. Here are the three songs from the film... This post has been edited by swarapriya: Dec 15 2011, 07:17 AM Attached image(s) |

(Amitabh) Gangaa Jamunaa Saraswathi (1988)
Manmohan Desai had a string of 13 jubilees until this movie was released. Last several of his hits included Amitabh in the lead as this one. However this tried and rehashed formula didn't cut any mustard with the audience. They rejected it mercilessly. Even some good songs couldn't lift the fate of the film. I am uploading songs from this film in two back-to-back posts. Here is the first set... Attached image(s) |
