(Waheeda) Mashaal (1984)
This film directed by Yash Chopra had a huge star cast and some fine songs. Dilip plays a "good" person who is bent on reforming "bad" Anil. Half way through the movie the "good" becomes "bad" and vice versa. Not a new theme for a film. The movie didn't live up to viewer expectations and barely did average business. I am uploading songs from this film from an original soundtrack album... Attached image(s) |

(Zeenat) Daku Hasina (1987)
This album has some good songs. My favorite is the duet by Alka & Wadkar, "Ang Jale". Sureshji didn't sing too many animated songs but in this one he tries and is absolutely wonderful to listen to. Here is this and other songs from this album, all thanks to the courtesy of the Forum members... Attached image(s) |

(Asha) Car Thief (1986) Here are the songs from this album... Car Thief was released in 1991 not 1986. The release date in IMDB is wrong. This post has been edited by Sangeet: Aug 8 2011, 05:49 AM Sangeet

(Hema) Meera (1979)
Of the thirteen bhajans in this film, Vani Jairam had sung 12 of them. I am uploading all these bhajans, composed to music by Pandit Ravi Shankar, in two back to back posts. Here is the first set... Attached image(s) |

(Hema) Meera (1979) Of the thirteen bhajans in this film, Vani Jairam had sung 12 of them. There are 13 bhajans sung by Vani Jairam - am uploading below the 13th one, which is a solo version (3.09 min) of "mere to giridhar gopaal". The 4.21 version, which you have uploaded in your second post, is a duet - you have Dinkar Kaikini joining in for the last 40-odd seconds of the song. The words and tune of the stanzas are completely different in the two versions. In the solo version, Gulzar has combined the mukhaDaa of "mere to giridhar gopaal" with the stanzas of another Meera bhajan (not used in the film), "mai.n to liino gobindo mol". The duet version has the verses that are consistent with the mukhaDaa. The solo version, encoded in mp3 @ 128 kbps. Warm regards, Abhay |
