Kudrat (1981)

This Chetan Anand film had shades of Bimlada's memorable classic "Madhumati (1958)". It also had some of the beautiful music composed by RD with several lovely songs, the standout being the song "Humein Tum Se Pyaar Kitna". A great song sung separately by Kishoreda and Parveen Sultana; both separately rendered and composed, one by Kishoreda in popular style and the other by Sultana in the classical style.

I am uploading these songs in back-to-back three posts. The first two posts have all of the songs from the album. The third post has some specials.

Concluding Songs from "Kudrat (1981)" ...

Here are the songs in this third and the final post. I am including here an extended version of "Dukh Sukh". This comes by the courtesy of the Forum members. Thank you. The song "Chhodo Sanam" in the film was sung by Annette and Kishoreda. This special song here is by Asha and Sudesh Bhosle. It is from the album "Asha Reveals Real R.D. Burman (Disc 2)". Finally I am including a special version of "Humein Tum Se" with an introduction by the great lyricist, Majrooh Sultanpuri, who wrote the song originally. This came from the album "Legends: R.D. Burman - The Versatile Composer (CD 5)".

I remember people throwingh money on each and every song of Rafisaab in the movie in the cinema.
