QUOTE(Mandrake @ Apr 22 2005, 12:15 AM) QUOTE(unni @ Apr 22 2005, 09:24 AM) Wow, Unniji, thanx a million! That was superfast And thanks Hits for the quick follow up with the details.. 2 questions: 1) Unniji, exactly how many songs do you have in ur database? (Just curious) 2) In which forum do I post my request for the kishore-Asha # 'hum jab honge saatth saal ke aur tum hogi pachpan ki' ? Truly impressed Mandrake Magician-ji! 1) I've copied to the data-base only the tracks I've uploaded/downloaded in HF, and presently that's close to 9000. As and when there are requests that are not fulfilled, if I have the song I convert and upload it, saving a copy on the HD. Otherwise they remain on CDs, DVDs, VCDs and Cassettes. 2) You could post it either in the Kishore Kumar forum or the Asha Bhosle forum. In a general sense, due to the high level of participation there, perhaps you'll have a greater chance to obtain the song in the KK forum. But I'm fairly confident that between Priya and Sangeetbhakt they'd come up with the upload even in the AB forum. (courtesy of HF and awaiting courtesy of Hits!) QUOTE(sangeetbhakt @ Apr 22 2005, 12:38 AM) QUOTE(unni @ Apr 21 2005, 08:54 PM) As a follow-on to this one, I would like to request the other version of this song which is a Hemant Kumar/Mahendra Kapoor duet, possibly their only duet together. (I have not yet heard this version and if it is the duet, then ignore my request). The album does have a Hemant Kumar/Mahendra Kapoor duet: "Jo Diya Tha Tumney Ik Din" -- beautiful song! But "Andherey Mein Jo Baithey Hain" only in Mahendra Kapoor's voice. If you stop trying to make sense of it all, you'll be less confused. Reality is an illusion.

And could I also pls get that other gem "Jo diya tha tumne ek din" ? My father (76 yrs now) always has been touched by that part " ek karz mangta hoon, bachpan udhaar de do". Maybe I'll please him with the song :-) Won't forget to mention that it was courtesy an amazing forum of amazing people Mandrake Self - belief is the most potent force.

(I understand that the one u have might be on tape). Also, the song I have been really really looking for (and not getting even on HF) is Mahendra kapoor's 'ai ghame-yaar bataa kaise jiya karte hain' from Ek Nazar - 1972 - MD LP. Would you be having it? MAndrake Self - belief is the most potent force.

It would be cost-prohibitive and extremely time-consuming to now replace with CDs my large cassette collection.i But "SAMBANDH" is not a rare album and should be available on CD. Sorry, I don't have the song from 'EK NAZAR" If you stop trying to make sense of it all, you'll be less confused. Reality is an illusion.

I know this was kindly posted by Unniji, but this opens slightly different. "To be in a minority of one does not necessarily render one insane"
