Very much interested, Bibhas. Bring'em on.
Socrates said, "The unexamined life is not worth living". I fear if I examined it, then according to Heisenberg uncertainty principle it would somehow change. After all, we are just particles.

QUOTE(anurag @ May 13 2005, 02:16 PM) Alright then, here we go.... All the ghazals and Nazm have been written by Roshan Wadhera "Nadaan". I'll start with my favorite ghazal from this album: Gham aur khushi ke beech mein, itna to faasla rahe Rota hua bhi hans sakey, Hansta hua bhi ro sakey A science that does not deliver us to the portals of metaphysics is a failed science and a religion that does not embrace physics is not grounded in reality.

Here is a Nazm from Zindagi:
Dost Hairan Na Ho, Zindagi mein to yeh hota hai aksar A science that does not deliver us to the portals of metaphysics is a failed science and a religion that does not embrace physics is not grounded in reality.

Today's ghazal from "Zindagi"
Gham-e-Dauran se to kitne hi savalaat kiye Zindagi tujhse bahut der huyi baat kiye A science that does not deliver us to the portals of metaphysics is a failed science and a religion that does not embrace physics is not grounded in reality.

Does anyone have the album "Kashish" ? I am looking for this wonderful number:
Jo Mujhe Tune Kaha Karke Dikhaaya Hota from that album. A science that does not deliver us to the portals of metaphysics is a failed science and a religion that does not embrace physics is not grounded in reality.

Bibhas, I am listening to these ones. Thanks for all the uploads. Apart from Dost Hairan Na Ho, do n't you think this is very uninspiring stuff from Hussain brothers? Compared to their work on Guldasta, this is very low affair. Dono bhaaiyon kee hee ek khoobsurat ghazal hai, Zindagi Kee Raah Mein aise Makam Aane Lage.... On the similar lines, I am tempted to ask Yeh Kaise Gaane gaane lage hain woh dono? Sorry, I don't have Kashish but would love to listen to now that you have requested it. Yaar BJ tum kahan ho aajkal? Socrates said, "The unexamined life is not worth living". I fear if I examined it, then according to Heisenberg uncertainty principle it would somehow change. Their stuff in the recent years has been very "timepass". This one certainly doesn't compare to Guldasta, or Mukhatib or Tasveer. I actually thought that "Kashish" was a relatively better album, certainly better than almost everything they've released in the past 5 years. I could only find this on tape. One of these days I'm going to have to get over my inertia and get set to digitise my cassette collection. On that note, can you tell me what equipment I need besides my PC and walkman ? QUOTE(bibhas @ May 23 2005, 10:52 AM) Anurag, <snipped> On that note, can you tell me what equipment I need besides my PC and walkman ? Bibhas Bibhas Let me copy and paste from one of my earlier PM to someone in response to the same question: What one needs is a 1/8" mini stereo cable since almost all the sound cards in computer have at least a line-in or aux in, or mic in port with that dimension. If one is using a walkman to record (which, I think is the best), then just connect this cable from the headphone out of walkman to the line-in or aux in of the sound card. Once that's done, rest can be read here: If you are going to use cooledit: http://www.kickinthehead.com/Features/MP3/tape.cfm If you are going to use the Microsoft's basic recorder software that ships with windows: http://www.edu-cyberpg.com/NCFR/collectTapetoPC.html Socrates said, "The unexamined life is not worth living".
