News for me…

A well researched document by Ishtiaq Ahmad. all the RAFIANS should seriously pursue the suggestion and help in building a befitting memorial in honour of the GREAT RAFI SAHIB at his birth place Kotla Sultan Singh. Annual Music Fair in his memory can be held on his birthday where artistes from all parts of the world can participate. Help from RAFI societies/clubs and even State Govt. can come forward for this noble cause of promoting PUNJABI language.

Thanks for the interesting article fanabba ji.

If the article is correct, then Rafi saab was 54 when he passed away and not 56 as most publications mention.

I agree that a Mohammed Rafi memorial at Kotla Sultan Singh would be highly desirable, but the memory he has left is in all our hearts.

Rafi Sahab graced all the awards that he was given.
