The Geeta Dutt version is not in my "SUJATA" album, nor in my database of HF downloads. What's the story behind this version? I guess it was recorded and not used in the movie. Or else it would not be so rare; for otherwise it would be available on the DVD.

It might exist. The story is that SDB recorded the song in Geeta's voice and for
some reason, decided to re-record it in Asha's voice. THat was the version that
was released. However for years, it was attributed to Geeta. An article in 1982
or thereabouts exposed the mistake. And in that context, it was mentioned that
a record was cut in Geeta's voice. I believe the Geetkosh actually mentions
both songs and I think even has a mention of an EP with the song. Whether
anybody actually has it is a different story.
