Awargi

Between 1990 and 1999, Ghulam Ali Saab released several albums with the name "Awargi". The first album, "Awargi", I am uploading here today has nine ghazals. This was followed by three albums "Awargi-1", "Awargi-2", and "Awargi-3" each with six ghazals. Then in 1999, he released two albums, "Awargi Live - Vol. 1" and "Awargi Live - Vol. 2". Each of these albums has six ghazals. Of the 39 ghazals in these six albums 35 are unique and four are repeated. But each of these repetitions is of different duration and in that sense each ghazal is slightly different.

Besides these six albums, in 1990 there was a movie by the name "Awargi" released with Anu Malik's music. Ali Saab has one ghazal in it, "Chamkte Chaand". This appears in today's second post.

In the next few weeks I will upload ghazals from all these six albums. We will start with the very first album, simply titled "Awargi". I will upload nine ghazals from this album in two back-to-back posts.

Awargi - Vol. 1

This is a three-set album with each set containing six ghazals. I am uploading ghazals from the first volume here in two back-to-back posts.

Because of the length of the "Jaan Mein" ghazal, I am splitting it into two parts. To access the song, you have to upload both parts. Thanks.
