Ashok Ghosh's first film was `Manmohan' (1936) which became very
popular with the masses. A song `Tumhi Ne Mujhko Prem Sikhaaya' which
was sung by Surendra and Bibo became quite popular. Ashok Ghosh later
used this song again in the film `Nirdosh' (1941) and the singers were
Mukesh and Nalini Jaywant. But it seems that the record of this duet
was never released.

The film `Nirdosh' is best remembered for Mukesh's first song `Dil Hi
Bujha Huva Tho `.
According to Anil Biswas most of the work was done by him (Both of
them were good friends). He left Mumbai for Kolkatta and not much is
not known about his after years. He left Mumbai somewhat in 1952.

He did around 12 Hindi films.

Dr. Madhurika (1935) as an assistant to Pransukh Nayak.
Deccan Queen (1936) Asst Anil Biswas
Manmohan (1936) Asst Anil Biswas starring Surendra Bibo
Sanskar (1940) Nimmi mother Wahidan Bai, Jyoti aunt of nimmi
Kasauti (1941) Veena Kumari SINGER
Radhika (1941) Harish-Nalini Jaywant
Nirdosh (1941) song taken frm Manmohan
Garib (1942) Anil Biswas co music director ghazal
Inkar (1943)
Sharafat (1943)
Miss Devi (1944) Surendra
Aarti (1945) co md Ali Baksh
