Two more; Rakhi Ka Mausam Aaya Re - Jeene Do 1948 - Geeta - Nashad - 128 - 02:58 Aditya Hi Aditya Just wanted to know if this is audio is from the SLBC radio recording or a better audio quality? Exon, I believe that the co-singer in this song is Shankar Dasgupta. Requesting members with HFGK to check the same. Thanks Parag Not sure about Shakar Dasgupta. I don't have books; but several places it is listed as GD, chorus. I searched HF archive, some time ago, Tumtum Tajik had identified the male singer as 'Satesh'; don't know his source. Exon |

Dont be confused with the male voice here in the
song "raakhi ka mosam aaya" it is indeed Satesh Batra's heavy voice.. there is a big difference in the voices of Shankardas gupta and Satesh Batra.. for you more clearification plz download this file.. and see the difference.. you will be more clear than.. Geeta Roy sang some other songs for Shaukat Dehlvi for the film "suhagi" 1948.. regards, -waheed This post has been edited by tumtum_tajik: Jan 7 2010, 10:33 PM |

Thanks for the inputs Waheed bhai sahab. Another popular song featuring the voice of Satish Batra (with Sulochana Kadam) is "Mausam aaya hain rangeen" from the film Dholak, composed by the maestro Shyam Sunder sahab. One can listen to it here
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VAOmHa90Dxs I will try to compare the voice from this song with the male voice from the song "Raakhi ka mausam aaya re". Thanks for the information on the film Suhaagi (1948). Please let us know if you know which and how many songs Geeta ji sang for this film. Best Regards Parag Please visit www.geetadutt.com

Many thanks Mahesh for this and I am sorry I missed to check the other thread. Now we are in the process of building the complete database of songs of Geeta ji. So very soon we should have just one list to refer to check her songs.
What does HFGK have to say about this film? Regards Parag Please visit www.geetadutt.com
