QUOTE Ek Tu Hi Bharosa from Pukar was written by Javed Akhtar. Aditya and Sangeet bhai, Tseries has marked it 'Majrooh Sultanpuri' on the cover, though several others sites have marked it as Majrooh and Javed Akhtar. If anyone has the movie, maybe the credits will clear our doubts. I just checked the original cassette (from venus). It says Majrooh Sultanpuri & Javed Akhtar as the lyricists, although it does not specify which song was written by whom. Aditya Thanks Aditya, that settles it for now. |

3) The song Sir Pe Mukut appears against two films Dawedaar (1982) and Mera Karam Mera Dharam (1987). I am not sure if this is an error. Can anybody confirm if a) these are separate songs, or they are the same song, but used in two films, or c) this is an error. It is from Dawedar only, IMO. Listen to other songs by LP from 1982. Jao ji jao-Desh premi and try to compare tonal quality. I had no doubt about the tonal quality not belonging to 1987. I was just curious if a similar worded song, sung by the same singer was used in another film 5 years later. Moreover, some of the songs of Mera Karam mera Dharam were recorded much earlier (1978-80). It had a song by Rafi. Actually, Dawedaar and Mera Karam Mera Dharam are same films. Initially records were released as Dawedaar I think. Sangeet

It has five volumes one for each decade from 1930s to 1970s. More info about getting is at www.hamraaz.org Best Regards

This was a Typo. This is a 1979 Film with Kabir Bedi. The one Neeraj uploaded is a 1984 film with Saeed Jaffery Thanks According to Vishwas Nerurkar's book on Lata Mangeshkar, the EP of the 1978 film was released as "Asambhav", but the film was released as 'Kanoon Ka Shikar". It had music by Meena Mangeshkar. However, VN's book lists only 1 Lata song in the film i.e. Jaane Kahan Deke Dagha. Though the voice sounds very much like Lata's, Lage Na Kisi Ki Nazar was probably sung by Usha Mangeshkar. Can anyone with geet kosh confirm this? The first line of this song is: "Aaj Ka Ye Milan To Madhur Hai Milan, Is Milan Ko Lage Na Kisi Ki Nazar" Aditya This post has been edited by Aditya Pant: Nov 12 2009, 05:00 PM My Blog - http://urgetofly.blogspirit.com

Aasambhav (1984) --requesting...........
For me, singing sad songs often has a way of healing a situation. It gets the hurt out in the open into the light, out of the darkness.
