Rajan Bhai

Nice song. Didn't realise Talat sang so many fairly good non-filmi's that you've been uploading. From the voice quality, I'd guess this is late 50s or 60s....

Faraaj Bhai,

I am happy to know that you are enjoying these non-filmi songs. I really do not know how many non filmi gazal and geet Talat Saheb has sung. May be, if I visit Talat Saheb's web site maintained by Khalid, I could find exact number. AFAIK, Talat Saheb has maximum number of non filmi's - geets and ghazals included. Next to follow could be Hemant Kumar - not sure.

Regards,

Rajan

Prabhakar,

Thanks a lot for your offer. Can you please send it to me at the following ID:

csviswa@gmail.com

In addition, I am also looking for a few non filmi songs of Talat saheb. I have some of these but they are re-recorded later when his voice quality was no more the same. I am looking for the original version. The songs are as follows:

1) Mera Pyar Mujhe Lauta Do
2) Birhan Baithi Aas Lagaye
3) Hamne kisi Ki Aankhon Me ye Jahan Dekha Hai

Can you please share these songs as well in case you have them (the original version, of course)?

Thanks in anticipation.

Regards,

Rajan

Today's posting starts with a beautiful private song - Soye Huwe Hain. This is Hindi version of Talat Saheb's Bangla song - Ghumero Chaya which was posted by me in post 79 above. I notice that credit for the Bangla version's music has been given to Kamal Dasgupta whereas the Hindi version is Talat Saheb himself. I think the Bangla version might have come out earlier which could have been re-used for the Hindi version later on. It also possible that the tagging in either of the versions is incorrect. I need to check this aspect.

Soye Huwe Hain Chand
Private Song
Lyrics: Fiyaz Hashmi
Bitrate: 128 Kbps
Duration: 00:02:94

Jag Mein Aaye Koi
Singers: Talat
Film: Babla
Year: 1953
Lyrics: Sahir
Music: S. D. Burman
Bitrate: 128 Kbps
Duration: 00:03:22

Mukh Se Na Boloon
Singers: Talat Lata
Film: Jaliyanwala Bagh Ki Jyoti
Year: 1953
Lyrics: Majrooh
Music: Anil Biswas
Bitrate: 128 Kbps
Duration: 00:02:56

Rajan Bhai

Having heard a lot of Jagmohan, I can say this is quite a typical (and yes, lovely) Kamal Dasgupta tune...

I'm surprised to see the song Mukh Se Na Boloon - which is credited to Anil Biswas. I've never heard of this film Jalianwala Bagh Ki Jyoti. Do you have any more songs from this film?

Kind Regards
