Today I decided to dust-off my old audio cassette collection, and found this version in an HMV compilation. I will digitize it shortly and upload it. Aditya Here is the second version of Sakhi Ri Sun Bole. It does have an extra stanza, but the duration is the same. It seems to me that this version has become a victim of the infamous HMV-style random editing of songs in compilations. This is very obvious in the first interlude when the sisters are singing the sargam and there's an abrupt jump, and then again in the first stanza where the delightful repitition of the first line by Lata is gotten rid of in the second version. Maybe, Hemant Kumar did cut down on line repititions and variations in the second version, but to me it seems more of HMVs doing.
