Thanks for the detailed explanation Exon ji. I already had the video but didn't notice that the full second paragraph is there in it. Seems to be a case similar to Aaj Sajan Mohe Ang Laga Lo from Pyaasa whose
version with all lines I have not heard till now. Maybe I'll sit and try to merge them one day!

Finally, hosa varshada shubhaashayagalu. May it bring happiness to lovely music fans like you who share so much.

ISB's lyrics page indicates 'HMV CD Mother India/Son of India sdtrk' as the audio source for this song lyrics. Therefore, a full version of the song should exist; perhaps in older copies of the film.

That surely puts my hopes up. Maybe some of the senior members would have it.

I have already done that! This song IS a masterpiece and one of my all-time favourites. I didn't realise the film & the record versions were both incomplete until I checked this thread. Thank you Exonji for all the helpful information.
