Mahesh..thanks for these rare songs. Never heard that Hemant sang them. It would be very interesting to listen to the Maestro.

Takra gaya (Version Song) - Hemant Kumar - Aan (1952) - Naushad - Shakeel Badayuni - 3:21 - 64 kbps Mera Jeevan Sathi Bichud Gaya (Version Song) - Hemant Kumar - Babul (1950) - Naushad - Shakeel Badayuni - 3:20 - 64 kbps Thanks for these uploads. Interesting! Mera Jeevan Saathi is well sung but in Takra Gaya Tumse the special chemistry that Rafi-Naushad shared is completely missing. If Hemant had sung the song in the film, it would not have been so successful. Kind Regards Faraaj Kind Regards Faraaj Music expresses that which cannot be said and on which it is impossible to be silent. - Victor Hugo There is only one better thing than music - live music. - Jacek Bukowski I hate music, especially when it's played. - Jimmy Durante No good opera plot can be sensible, for people do not sing when they are feeling sensible. - W. There is no question that Naushad was going to use only Rafi's version. I mean Dillip Kumar is the star and Hemant Kumar was not going to sing for Dillip. So this speculation is quite out of place. |

here are two more version songs-.pl see first two posts for details. enjoy, mahesh Mahesh, Thanks a lot for uploading these version songs. Gives a very good idea of how they would have been if sung by different singers. While Hemant has done a good job, we have got used to listen to the Talat version which definitely is excellent - Rajan. |

Thanks for these songs.
Any information regarding how these version songs come to be recorded? Were they recorded for the movies and then never used or did they come out later? Thanks, Frangipani |

HMV started making these versions of popular songs, but it was not followed by all the artists- Hemant, Mukesh,
Talat and Manna did cut some discs but later on they all decided it was not in the best interest of all the artists and discontinued the practice. as said by Khalid Mohd. for his dad singing Chal Ud Ja Re Panchhi |
