Hong Kong (1962)

I skipped to upload songs from this movie while following my chronological order. In this one OP tries to use some oriental instruments to fit the theme of the movie. These include songs like "Hong Kong", "Honolulu", and "Kenya".

There are nine songs in this album with Ashaji taking part in all of them. Two of the songs are duets with Rafi Saab. Now for details of the songs and the songs themselves ...

No Prob Swarapriyaji, 'Skipping' sometimes return back like a 'bouquet'. 'Hongkong' is recent example of it.

Thankyou So much !!!!!

Dil Aur Mohabbat (1968)

Here is another winner from OP Saab. This album has only five songs but all are sparkling. Of course Rafi Saab is again missing here. One of my top favorite duets of Ashaji and Mahendraji is in this album: "Haath Aaya Hai". Absolutely exquisite. Beautiful lyrics were penned by Shevan Rizvi Saab. The contrasting styles of singing of Ashaji and Mahendraji (reminds me of the famous ghazal singing tandem of Mitalee and Bhupinder), this song really stands out. It seems like Ashaji put her entire soul in singing this song. An utter delight. Stays with you forever.

The two extended songs are ripped from a DVD. The quality of "Kahan Se Laayi Ho", the extended version, is about average and is in not par with other songs.

Now for details of the songs and songs themselves ...

Swarapriya,

Thanks for the Dil Aur Mohabbat album.
Does anyone know if there is one more song in this movie called 'my name is kishori' by Asha Bhosle?

Thank you very much Exon. I may even have heard this song somewhere. But Ashaji has sung so many these type of songs, it is difficult to tell.

Cheers,

Humsaya (1968)

Here is another one of those beautiful albums that stays with you forever. Almost all songs are top notch. Rafi Saab is back after an absence of few movies with OP. He has one great solo "Dil Ki Awaz Bhi Sun" that echoes deep through the chambers of your heart. A lovely piece indeed. Ashaji has four solos. All winners. I want to single out two of them here. The song "O Kanhaiya" was sung with great aplomb. But my favorite from this album, and one of my all time favorites of Ashaji is the song "Woh Haseen Dard De Do". This beauty was written by Shevan Rizvi Saab. The way Ashaji gets into this song and delivers it with such intensity that it touches your heart with relentless passion and the feeling stays with you for ever. A superb allround composition and rendering of the song.

There are seven songs in ths album. Details of these are given in the following table followed by the songs themselves ...
