Thank You Very Much Swarapriya, for Jaali Note.
May be it is one of a kind of a gesture which HF members will do, to thank if someone is giving Jaali Note This is one of my favourite albums. This really is cream of OP's music. Every song is heart stopping. Thank you very much for this album. |

Jaali Note (1960) Here is another movie that wasn't a runaway success but not because its music wasn't good. OP, as usual delivers once again. There are six Asha-Rafi duets, like in his previous outing for "Do Ustad". But the charm of Madhubala and Dev's debonair antics just couldn't do it. The extended version of "Nigahon Ne Phenka Hai" is by the courtesy of the Forum members. Now for details of the songs and songs themselves ... Swarapriya, Thanks for OPN's Jaali Note album. From my side, here is the record version of the duet song, 'Chaand Zard Zard Hai'. The song lines are slightly different from the film version. The song's audio originated from HF member. Raat Sard Sard Hai, Chaand Zard Zard Hai - Rafi, Asha (3:24 \ 128) If anyone has the following missing song, please upload it. Idhar dekh mera dil tera deewaana - by Asha Bhosle, Shamshad Begum Exon This post has been edited by Exon: Jul 18 2008, 07:54 PM |

This time though looks like I was able to pass the "Jaali Note" without a hitch. Cheers, Swarapriya |

In this case the results are delightful because thiis is double good. Cheers, Swarapriya |

Kalpana (1960)
This is one of may all time favorite albums of OP. Song after song, these are absolutely melodious. Ashok Kumar not only starred in this movie but also produced it. There are 11 songs, all from a CD. Then I am including here eight extended versions of the songs that are by the courtesy of the Forum members. The quality of these is not consistent, but they are uniformly of fair to good quality. I do have another song in the library called "Holiya Mein Ude Re Gulaal" that is of 6 min and 6 secs duration. I don't know who the principal singer is. Also the quality is so bad, I decided not to upload it. If anyone wants it I can upload separately here. OP's multi talents are in dazzling display in this album. This album is indeed a showcase for his prowess. There are several beautiful solos by Ashjaji. Also some great duets of Ashaji and Rafi Saab. But a standout song for the album is the Manna-Rafi song "Tu Hai Mera Prem Devta". Who said OP can't compose classical tunes? This song alone is really enough to make believers of all those who are non-believers. I have an extended version of this song included here. But there is even a longer version of the song also included here. The quality of this song is really excellent. It is worthwhile to download this beauty. Now for details of the songs and the songs themselves ... This post has been edited by swarapriya: Jul 20 2008, 12:28 PM Attached image(s) |

Ek Musafir Ek Hasina (1962)
Here is another beautiful album of OP saab. All songs are beautiful and very hummable. They are such happy songs that listening to them, at least for those moments, one can easily forget all kinds of worries. By this time, Ashaji and Rafi Saab were creating what OP wanted them to do, sheer magic. The result is evident from these songs. I am uploading 10 songs of this album all from a CD. I know for sure, I am missing one song by Ashaji called "Humein Chaahe Badnam Karde". Surprisingly, the Earthmusic database gives four more songs that are also part of this album. I have my doubts about these because I found Earthmusic to be so much error prone. Does anyone know a better and reliable reference? I have listed all missing songs in red italics in the table below. Is it possible that the song "Kasam Khuda Ki" is the same as "Tumhen Mohabbat Hai"? Also, how about "Teri Talaash Mujhe", is this same as "Iran Humne Dekha"? Anyway, please share with us if you have any of these songs that already are not uploaded here. Now for details of the songs and the songs themselves ... Cheers, Swarapriya The missing song, 'qasam khudaa ki yakeen' is reported to be the introductory line for the 'Tumhein mohabbat hai tumse' song. But, I haven't found any audio with this mukhda line. Now, two unaccounted songs remain. 1] Asha Bhosle version of 'mujhe dekh kar aapkaa muskuraana'. 2] Asha Bhosle version of 'Phir tere shahar mein'. I don't know if these versions exist.
