Excellent work, Hari Ram, under these 'Filmography' threads of yours.

Could someone please re-upload the Rafi songs from Pardah(1949), Biwi(1950) and Taatar Ka Chor(1958)?

Thanks,

Venkat

PS. Also the Rafi & Chorus song (not the Rafi-Mukesh duet) from Phir Subah Hogi!

I have changed many views in life since my childhood, but not my view of Rafi Saab as the God-sent Gandharva who visited this Earth briefly to spread ultimate ecstasy among genuine music-lovers!

Musiclover77,

We have about 37 missing songs .
In these filmographies, I have been following a common scheme. All songs are listed and updated in the first page of the thread. Missing song titles are indicated in red.

For Mehndi I have Verma Malik as the lyricist.

The singer in the song "O My Love" definitely sounds like Asha Bhonsle. For the duet too, it seems to be Asha Bhonsle.

I don't seem to have any song from Parbat ke Us Paar(1988) or Yatra. sad.gif

Hari Ram Bhai,

Many many sincere thanks for the painstaking upload of all the songs requested by me.

I have downloaded so far the Rafi- Asha duet from Tatar Ka Chor, the Rafi solo from Biwi and the Rafi-Chorus song from Phir Subah Hogi.

Many thanks, once again, for introducing me to two great Rafi songs under Khayyam. I have loved the Tatar Ka Chor song and the Biwi song.

I will d/l the Purdah songs next.

Venkat

Hari Ram,

Many thanks, once again, for these 6 very rare Khyaam-Rafi songs.

Incidentally, it appears that the MD for the "Sitamgar Se Leta Hai" solo from Film:Parda(1949) are 'Anwar Hussain & Nand' and not Sharma Ji (Khayyam), according to the book of Salim-ul-Haq. However, the other "Ek Dil Ne Kaha" solo from the same Film was composed by Khayyam, according to that book.

Anyway, as I d/led and listened to all these six songs many times, I am tempted to rank them as per my personal liking.

1.'Ek Dil Ne Kaha Ek Dil Ne Suna' from Film: Parda(1949)

2.'Akele Mein Woh Ghabrate To Honge' from Film:Biwi(1950)

3.'Dekho Zara Ulfat Ka Asar' from Film:Tatar Ka Chor(1955)

Venkat,

Your are most welcome; glad you enjoyed these songs.
After many years gap, once again, I am enjoying many songs posted in these filmographies.

I don't remember all the sources for Parda MD information. I believe, in an interview, Khayyam himself mentioned about Parda's music composition. If any member posts a definitive information on the MD name credited on screen in Parda, I will update the filmography.

Madhavi,

Some how I forgot about your request. Please don't feel that I ignored your request.

< > Mohammad Aziz, Asha Bhosle:
aajaa ke meri jaan ko qaraar nahin hai, tere siwaa kisee ka intezaar nahin hai (160\5:41)

< > Asha Bhosle, Mohammad Aziz:
aajaa ranjhan yaaro aajaa, aajaa o dilaaro aajaa
ishqe ki dor naa toote, raanjhaniyaa, o jhag roote, tu na roote, o dildaara (part 1; 160\4:23)

< > Asha Bhosle, Mohammad Aziz:
aajaa ranjhan yaaro aajaa, aajaa o dilaaro aajaa (part2; 160\0:30)
