As you must be aware, in the good old days of 78rpm records, we used to get to hear the songs (the shorter versions) on radio first, then we went to see the films, we were pleasantly surprised to hear the extended/film versions songs (more orchestra and verses). The was very frequent with Shankar Jaikishan. All other composers generally stuck to 3.30 minutes limit even in film versions, except where the song could be 6 to 7 minutes long. That is why you would see preponderance of S-J songs on this thread.

With the advent of EPs/LPs, the things changed.

My endeavour has been to collect film/extended versions, hence the incessant supply of the same.

Sukesh,

I rechecked my audio and compared with your upload.
The previous audio ('dekho bijli dole' song) was contributed by King Kishore.
Both audios have 2 antaras. The only difference I see is that KK's audio has about 1 min of instrumental prelude in the beginning. Therefore, I don't see it necessary to upload it; unless someone requests.
