Revisiting the Rafi-? duet, "Arre Main Haar Gaya", from Film:Ek Thhi Ladki(1949), when one listens to the female voice not-so-carefully, it sounds exactly like Lata's voice as in "Jiya Beqarar Hai Chaayi Bahar Hai" from Film:Barsaat(1949)! After all, these were sisters and their adolescent voices in late 40's were markedly similar, though in 60's, their voices were anything but similar!

But if you listen very carefully to this Ek Thi Ladki duet, you will perceive the Asha-like strains in the female voice. Because it was Asha!
