Balaji, this has been debated ad nauseum in the beginning of February 2005 by the then stalwarts of HF. A total of 53 posts (including some frivolous ones) were devoted solely to this question and it has been concluded that Lata was the singer, not Asha. My ears also tell me the same thing and I do not need to lean on expert opinion here. Nevertheless, some people want assurances from other reliable sources.

For your information the link is Lambi Joru Badi Museebat, Who sang it?. Unni and Hits put the question to rest at Unni's statement and Hit's confirmation. Of course, you and others are entilted to differ from their and my conclusions as I believe none of us can approach the two sisters for their final say.
