Wow, Ajay, very aptly expressed. Yes, I feel that also describes the other song in the movie, "Jiyo to aise jiyo" that could easily have become didactic in someone else's hand, but in Sahir's hands takes on a directness and a personal dimension that is so finely held.

And thank you so much for the Dooj Ka Chand song. Have always wanted to see its picturization. Okay, I am not going to say another word against BB... but how/why on earth did he end up singing so many of those incredible Sahir/Rafi combos...?
