QUOTE(shish @ May 29 2007, 01:33 AM) *

Movie Name : Sangam (1964)
Music Director : Shankar-Jaikishan
Lyrics : Shailendra

Yeh Mera Prem Patra
Singer : Mohd Rafi
4:26 Mins, 128 Kbps.

Yeh Mera Prem Patra
Singers : Mohd Rafi & Lata Mangeshkar.
1:20 Mins, 128 Kbps.

I could not find this version anywhere, so I had recorded this from streaming video, the audio quality is good, but towards the end you'll hear Rajendra Kumar's voice for a sec.
But I feel that, Lata's singing and humming along with Rafi makes this evergreen song even more beautiful.

Shish Bhai,

Hats off to you for this very rare bit of "Yeh Mera Prem Patr Padh Kar". I think it comes somewhere in the middle of the film, but after the main solo of Rafi Saab.

But, Shish Bhai, this song comes one more (a third time) time at the very end, after Rajendra Kumar dies and RK and VM keep paying tributes to him near the lake/river. And this last version is obviously saddish in tone and lasts for maybe 40 seconds.

Do you or anyone else have that too? If so, please upload. This sad version is heart-rending!

Venkat

I have changed many views in life since my childhood, but not my view of Rafi Saab as the God-sent Gandharva who visited this Earth briefly to spread ultimate ecstasy among genuine music-lovers!

Friends,

I am new to this thread. Have you all already covered the twins from Film:Duniya Na Maane---MD:Madan Mohan?

1.Tum Chal Rahe Ho, Ham Chal Rahe Hain, Magar Duniya Walon Ke Dil Jal-----Mukesh & Lata

2.Ham Chal Rahe Thhe, Woh Chhal Rahe Thhe----Mukesh

Both, especially the first, are very nice songs!

Hari Ram Bhai,

You are so kind always and so favorably deal with my requests. How can I repay your debt, as indeed the debts of many other generous 'givers' of HF?

Lakshmi started this thread for all of us to enjoy.
Besides, I too have always enjoyed reading your posts in the Rafi forum; no need to repay.

Film: Adaalat (1958)
Music: Madan Mohan
Lyrics: Rajinder Krishan

Lata version: jaa jaa re jaa saajanaa

Asha version: jaa jaa re jaa baalmaa

If anyone has the above twin song, please upload.
In the movie, the song is shown as a duet, which I already have. However, it was supposedly recorded as two solo songs.

Hari Ram Jee,

I am having this song but in a composit manner(6 minutes, 35 Seconds) as follows.

JaJa Re Ja Sajna(SAD)-Lata-Ja Ja Re Ja Sajna(HAPPY)-Asha-Ja Ja Re Ja Sajna(SAD)-Lata-Ja Ja Re Ja Sajna(HAPPY)-Asha

To the best of my knowledge there is no separate song of Asha Ji which starts as" jaa jaa re jaa baalmaa". There may be one such version of Asha Jee which I do not know.

However I am uploading below the version which I have.

Kamalakanth bhai,

Thanks for uploading the duet version of this nice song.
Some time back, I had read that due to differences in mood and tempo of Lata and Asha lines, Madan Mohan had recorded this song as two separate solos. Then, in the movie (I haven't seen it), they created a duet by alternating anataras from the two solos. Therefore, I reasoned that some old music fan in this forum might have the solo versions of the song in their collection.
