Even though Gurbani is in itself fulfilling and all encompassig, Shabads from Gurbani rendered by Rafisaab have a universal appeal, an appeal so loving and touching that they have conquered time. The shabads by him will be there till the end of time. Jagjit Singh, Mahindra Kapoor and a whole line of national and international singers(including Ragis) have come and gone but failed to create the same magic- which again proves that Rafi was the master of all he sang!
Here are a few of Rafisaab's shabads. Music for most have been given by S. Mohinder and Prem Dhawan. |

Some more Shabads.
Being born in the Punjab, his diction was bound to be clear but it was that extra bit- the feel-that only he possessed which made him so endearing to all. No wonder HE CAME, HE SANG, HE CONQUERED! |

MohanFlora ji these tracks are not playing as they require us to acquire the license through Napster.com. Since I don't have the license I can't play them although I can d/l them. Hopefully, you can do something about this!

This album was re released on CD and Cassette about 5 to 6 years ago.....it was limited stock then....i only see very few stores with 1 or 2 in stock now.
Thanx Mohanflora for advertising this wonderful Punjabi Devotional Album of Mohd Rafi......totally agree with your write up.....just one tiny thing i would like to say...there are some Shabads by Mahendra Kapoor which too are timeless.....but being this is a Rafi Forum i say the Rafi ones are the most popular & remembered ones. Mainly the songs are from Man Jeete Jag Jeet Dukh Bhanjan Tera Naam both these have been released on VCD and still available to buy Koi Bole Ram Ram......Guru Manio Granth.........VCD released Mitter pyare noon.......Nanak naam jahaz hai.........VCD released i'll check up on the rest for details later. Thanks ANT6 for your feedback and information.
Sorry, LEGENDRAFI and Nadeembhai for the goof up. Thanks,Nadeem for your help. I did try to use the link above provided by Nadeem but wasn't able to. However I succeeded in removing the DRM using 5-star fine tunes and Acoustica! You can now d/l and listen to the following Shabads. Somehow, they turned out mono, not stereo? |
