This was the time around which the next generations of the Music Directors were coming into their own....the baton of leading Musicians was soon destined to be passed on these new Czars of music...

So while KK sang for the first time with LP in Mr. X in Bombay, soon we will be discussing the first movies of KK with RD Burman and Kalyanji Anandji in this thread (in the year 1965 infact)...the other two who completed the trio....that was the beginning of an era of trios looks like....so while LP, RDB and KA formed the musician trio, soon KK would rise to the top singers position to complete the trio with Rafi and Mukesh....that also was the time when Shammi Kapoor, Dev Anand and Rajendra Kumar formed the leading heros trio...and why only bollywood, around the same time the famous spinners trio of Bedi, Chandra and Prassana was to emrge on the cricket scene....

I was a toddler those days learning to walk in the then quiet city of Bangalore....having just completed the trio for my parents (being the eldest of my parents children)

Please note the first one here...Bhoot Bangla...that was the first time KK sang to RDB's music....though it is widely believed that the tune of Chahe Koi Khush Chahe Gaaliyan Hazaar De from Taxi driver was formed by RDB when he was just 9 years old...and SDB composed the music for the song on that very tune....

There are 2 versions of this song 'Ajnabee tum jaane pehchanese lagte ho'; were both of them used in the film. Lyrics are same only the orchestration/interludes are a bit diffrnt.

Very true, there are two versions of this song. Don't know if both were used in the movie though, did not see the movie.

Well, i had seen this movie many years ago....i do have a faint memory that the song had come twice in the male voice in the movie...i had recently got its VCD, which i am yet to see...will see it this weekend and check this out....incidentally there is a Lata version of this for sure, which Nimii mentioned recently in, i think, tandem songs thread...

Just saw the vcd....this song comes only once in male voice...i ripped it nevertheless to check with the version i had....well, the one which i already had was a digitally remastered version....the revival series one...from the wave pattern, you can make out that the remastered version has smoother waves with waves of music channels lifted up in amplitude...no wonder the music sounds a bit different...

As you would note, Johar Mehmood in Goa was the first film of KK with Kalyanji Anandji....close on the heels of his first songs with Laxmikant Pyarelal and RD Burman...so ironical that this song had to be the last song by the KK-Shamshad duo...

yes.one always gets a doubt if it is a seperate slower version.But i also have it as a part of a single song which is 5.40 mins long.
