Hi
I remember seeing this movie in its rerelease in the 60's, at Ludhiana. At that time it held the record of longest continuous run (of 50+ weeks in a Calcutta theater). It had Ashok Kumar and its heroine might have been Mumtaj Shanti ( David Abraham's sister?). Some of its songs like "Dheerey dheerey aa rey baadal dheerey aa.Mera bulbul so raha hai shorogul na macha" still reverberate in my memory.I think "Door hatto aie duniyawalo Hindustan hamara hai" also was fron this movie. Thanks for waking up some pleasant old memories. Sameer Majli & Joshi saheb
Kismat (43) ke in gaano ka bahut shukriya. Zindagi mein bahut si khushiyan purani yaadon sey hee to taaluq rakhti hain. Yeh purani yaadein phir taaza ho gayeen aur kya chaahey! I think ' dheerey dheerey aa re baadal' song also has another version with male lead singer Arun Kumar ( a cousin of Ashok Kumar). Would be nice to hear that one too! Thanks again.Harjinder |
