That's a lovely post ... "Jagmag jagmag karta nikla chaand poonam ka pyara" was onbe of the songs Kishore selected as among his 10 best. Another was "Husn bhi hai udaas udaas ishq bhi gham se choor hai" from Fareb (1953), which also had "Aa mohabbat ki basti basaayenge hum", regarded by me personally as one of the best Lata-Kishore duets ever. Here're the two:

but ne small request..

in this thread now we are going through guru songs of 1950's chronologically...

Nimii the great is keeping the track of all the tracks..

So request all guru bhakths NOT TO JUMP THE GUN and hold their enthusiasm.

we will all upload what we have only when she calls out that particular song.

This way we can cover all songs chronologically.

Hope i am not misunderstood.....pl excuse me if i did not put it across my point properly..

Haan RKI even I thought so, but but but, VN ji's book points to a version 2 of that song with another voice Mohana added to it. blink.gif So that makes it 3 tracks wacko.gif

Ravi, what I know is, those two are K.L.S style ghazals. Those are not names of albums

Since we are talking about KLS, other day on one of the channels they were talking about Guru's long standing desire to sing KLS number, it was arranged (I guess they said HMV) and all the things were in place for him to record those numbers but at the last moment he backed out saying he won’t be able to do justice to KLS numbers

I actually mentioned the song lyrics of the KK private album of 1945.
Now I am sceptical too, after reading this note.

These two songs were shared long time back on HF itself.

Here is one of them... i never knew this was released in 1945...even before his first full-fledged song in movie...just checked now when it got repeatedly talked about...lying in my unreleased songs folder...i do not have the other one...
