It's been ages since anyone posted on here. Everyone's stopped listening to Rafi saab, just busy downloading??? smile1.gif

Today's been a day for maudlin music for some reason...

- teri zulfon se judaai to nahin mangi thi, qaid mangi thi rihaee to nahin mangi thi (Jab Pyar Kisise Hota Hai)

- Subah na aayi, shaam na aayi, jis din teri yaad na aayi (Cha Cha Cha)
(what a poetic way to say I think of you day and night every day!!)

- Tukde hain mere dil ke aye yaar tere ansoo, dekhe nahin jaate hain dildaar tere ansoo (Mere Sanam)
I think the tepid Biswajeet and Joy Mukherjee had some of the best songs picturised on them!

the eternal
- Din dhal jaaye haaaaayeeeeeee shaam na jaaye, tu to na aaye teri yaad sataye. (Guide)
"khud se juda aur jag se paraye hum dono the saath"... what poetry!

and the sartaaj -
Dekhi zamane ki yaari bichhde sabhi baari baari (Kagaz ke phool) - about 9 mins of heart rending music!!! There's some upbeat parts too, but ultimately ... bichhde sabhi baari baari
