here is one of my favourite shamshad songs from bhai bahen[1950].lyrics are by i c kapoor and music is by shyam sunder.the song was picturised on geeta bali.

here is holi aai re--Mother india .4:44 duration.it has shamshad ji singing for both nargis and the other one too.hai na ajeeb baat ek hi gane mein ek hi singer do ke liye ga raha hai

thanks a lot ashish for the song.the other actress was ''chanchal'' madhubala's sister who had an important role in mother india and jis desh mein ganga behti hai.it is a strange co-incidence the geeta's voice from jis desh mein.. song which i ul yesterday;went on chanchal too.

I think In motherindia she played the role of the daughter of the village mahajan bit naughty role.yes she also had very sharp features like her sister .very beautiful too

Is this a version song?

I was looking for this song for a looooong time.....I thought it was sung by some other artist...Could not request as I was not sure of anything other than the tune and some words like mera naam lijiye na mere baap ka?

Bappa da ...the other version was sung by kishor kumar and picturised on karan diwan...this was one of the earliest movies of one of the greatest dancers that the indian cinema ever produced...Vaijaayanti Mala
