Hi friends!
As requested in the Shamshad Begum forum, I am sharing the songs of the ‘Khazanchi’ (1941) here. MD: Master Ghulam Haider. There is no information about the singers on audio tape of ‘Khazanchi’ that I have. I guess most of the songs of the film have sung by Shamshad Begum. I request all music lovers to kindly provide any information they have regarding Khazanchi Songs. The quality of all the songs is just compromising. First up is: 01. Dilwali Phir Aa Gai Sajni |

Till the other songs of Khazanchi are upload. .... read some information about the film music.
The music of Khazanchi caused a revolution. By then Music Directors of the 1930s, who had embellished films with their exquisite compositions set in classical ragas, were beginning to sound commonplace. Khazanchi's refreshingly free wheeling music not only took the audiences by storm but also made other music directors sit up and take notice. Combining popular ragas with the rich verve and rhythm of Punjabi music, Ghulam Haidar ensured that the Indian film song would never be the same again. |

All the songs you have uploaded (1 to 9, except 5 & 6) have Shamshad Beghum as the primary singer. The only other voices are attributable to "Chorus". Songs 5 and 6 have music director Ghulam Haider's voice also.

Are you sure that Inaam has uploaded Zia Beghum's version, urzung? The reason I ask is that this movie had soundtrack issued under 2 labels - Columbia and another that I forget. Now, this second label has been out of circulation since the late 40s, to my knowledge, and that included some of the songs in Zia Beghum's voice. However, the more commonly available records have included the "Peene Ke Din Aaye" song in Shamshad Beghum's voice, I believe. I'm sure you would have a better idea than me, on whether the uploaded song actually sounds like Shamshad or Zia. |
