I have heard that this song was originally recorded by Iqbal Bano for a film sometime in the 1960s. Is this correct? Does anyone have this original version?

Hi Abhay,
How are you? It's been a while since the last time we had contact. I hope you are well. Anyway, Ulfat ki nayi manzil ko chala was recorded in 1955 for the Pakistani film 'Qatil' with music by Master Inayat and lyrics by Qateel Shifai. Here is a CD rip of the track @128kbps. I've not seen the film so I'm not sure if this is the same as the film version. I assume the original source for this must have been a record. Jamal |
